Christine “Eve” Abreu founded The Futures Collective Network after spending nearly two decades working in Human Resources and talent acquisition and witnessing firsthand how access to opportunity shapes people’s futures.

Throughout her career, Eve has worked as a recruitment professional across several industries, including hospitality, real estate, aviation, and human services. In each role, she helped organizations identify talent, hire professionals, and build strong teams. Over time, she began to notice a pattern: many capable and hardworking people were not falling short because of a lack of potential—but because they had never been exposed to the opportunities available to them.

In recruitment, Eve regularly encountered candidates who simply did not know certain career paths existed, how to access them, or what skills were needed to pursue them. She also saw how this lack of exposure often extended beyond individuals and into families, shaping what people believed was possible for themselves and their children.

This realization stayed with her.

Eve began to recognize that access to career exposure, professional skills, and educational opportunity can dramatically change someone’s trajectory. When individuals are introduced to new possibilities and given the tools to pursue them, they are empowered to make choices that expand their futures.

The Futures Collective Network was created to help bridge that gap.

Through programs focused on career exposure and workforce readiness, the organization works to ensure that youth and adults have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to pursue opportunities they may not have previously imagined.

Eve believes that circumstances should never define someone’s future. When individuals gain access to information, opportunity, and support, they are able to build futures defined by choice, possibility, and potential.
